Levande Cardinal Freeman – 40,856m² site bringing new life to an established community

Working with Levande, AJC and Essence Project Management, Extrablack was commissioned to provide signage strategy, wayfinding hierarchy, concept design and design development for a new independent living building within the established Cardinal Freeman Retirement Village. The approach balances two identities: exterior signage consistent with the bronze and flora language already established across the village, and Levande’s own brand expressed internally, with illuminated room numbers and a material palette of travertine, porcelain tile and timber battens creating a cohesive experience across old and new.
